Here we are. I blinked and it happened. 37 and a half weeks. Holy cow.
The idea that we are going to have 3 kids ages 4 and under in less than three weeks is mind boggling! We are ready, but we aren't. And I realized that I've done a pretty bad job of documenting this pregnancy. I've just been so busy trying to keep up with Hudson and Sadie and trying to take care of myself. I'm sure baby girl will forgive me. I'll do my best to make her a baby book......while I try to finish her sister's too. #worstmomever #notreally
For the most part I have been feeling really great, and for that I am so thankful. With Sadie I had the worst hip pain from weeks 33-37 and it was difficult for me to walk. I am SO glad that didn't happen this time! I can feel my hips loosening and have back pain at the end of the day but it's NOTHING like last time. Insert all the praise hands here.
Also, like last time, I haven't been keeping track of my weight gain. I know it's more than Hudson (I gained about 26 pounds with him and felt great the entire time....I also walked on the treadmill during my lunch break every day and walked Wrigley in the evenings. Overachiever right there.) With Sadie and with this baby it has been harder to work out....but I am chasing after two little kids and CONSTANTLY cleaning up some kind of mess....so I'm rarely sitting down. But I can tell I've gained a little more this time. #ohwell
I'm the least anxious about the delivery this time too! I'm going for VBAC #2 after a wonderful experience with Sadie. This baby girl is head down (yay!) so we are on track to have another VBAC. If you are new here, you can read about why I chose to have a VBAC here and my comparison between c-seciton and VBAC here. I'm at an even lower risk for complications this time around since I've already had one successful VBAC. If you have any questions please let me know...I'm happy to share more of my experience with you! I would choose a VBAC a million times over having a c-section.
Earlier this week I had contractions on and off for about two hours....and not gonna lie, it brought ALL the painful contraction memories back! I think I had a mind block up about it....but those contractions reminded me of how terrible it was. So I'm sort of dreading that part. The part that comes after the epidural I know I can handle! What can I say? I have a low tolerance for pain. It's a red head thing.
We are pretty much set to go other than a few little things I need to pick up. This by far has been the easiest baby to prepare for because we already have a lot of girl clothes, my friends stocked us up on diapers, and we already have all the baby gear! We just need to put the finishing touches on her room, figure out the baby monitor situation, and install her car seat! Oh, and get Hudson to sleep through the night. But that's another blog post for another day.
So March 12, here we come! Both Hudson and Sadie were born on their due dates so I'm going for 3 for 3 and hoping to have her then. But I won't be too mad if she comes a little early. Just don't come late baby girl!
