26 Weeks!

March 5, 2015

How far along? 26 weeks yesterday. This pregnancy is flying by.

Maternity clothes? Yep, still mixing and matching maternity and non maternity. My belly is getting out of control!

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep: Still have some pregnancy insomnia and as you may have read on Tuesday, Hudson hasn't been sleeping well lately. He did sleep through the night last night but of course I didn't!

Best moment this week:  Talking baby names with my husband. We do it almost every night.....and let me tell you, it's hard! Especially because we have to come up with two names! So far we have a middle name for a girl....and that's it. And we've had that middle name since I was pregnant with Hudson. So yeah. Oh, and I found out I passed my glucose test! They called me the day I took it and I immediately thought I had failed....but they just called to say my iron was low. So now I'm taking iron supplements (which are no fun....let me tell you).

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my stomach for sure. And cookie dough.

Movement: Yep, lots of movement up in here! This kid is just as active has his/her big brother. We are in for trouble!

Food cravings: Juice! I can't stop thinking about this mango juice. It's soooo good. And oreos!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Knock on wood, I've been feeling great lately! And I am finally able to eat raspberries again, which many of you know is my most favorite food. But I threw them up one too many times early in my pregnancy and couldn't even look at them. I had a few this morning....but they just didn't do it for me. I think maybe I've fallen out of love with them.

Gender: We'll find out in June!

Labor Signs: None.

Symptoms: Just the bump and feeling tired!

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: Pretty good overall. I just want this baby to get here!

Looking forward to:  Picking out a name and maybe starting to work on the baby's nursery. I'm such a procrastinator!

  1. I think it's so cool you are waiting to find out. That's our plan when it's time for kids! You look great, lady!

  2. Baby names are hard!! At least for us they were, so much back and forth. Great when you finally land on one though. That is why we had to find out though, two sets...impossible haha. Sorry about the raspberries!! The same thing happened to me with milky ways and I can no longer eat them. I use to keep those fun sized ones in the freezer for a snack. But, I'm thinking cutting that out is better anyways =)

  3. Yea to 26 weeks, I'm just a couple weeks behind you (23 weeks on Saturday) also with my second. We are trying to decide on a name too, although we know the gender. I just had to know! Hopefully, your pregnancy continues to go smoothly! Here's to babies and June being here in no time at all :)

  4. You are beautiful Julie! I like to think of bad sleep as just way to ready for a newborn again. Nevertheless, I hope it improves for you!

  5. My iron was low with Abigail and I can guarantee it is low with Mabel too. I'll find out for sure next week but yeah, not looking forward to the iron + stool softener combo.

  6. that's so fun that you're talking about baby names with Hudson! Glad he slept better but bummer you didn't! Doesn't it always seem to work that way?! and I Love that dress on you!!!

  7. Baby names are HARD! I felt so much pressure when we picked out Mason's. Like, how am I in charge of giving you a name that you will have for forever? Eeek! No matter what you decide, I'm sure it will be perfect!
    PS Love your dress!

  8. Baby names are SO HARD!! We had a definite girl name until I got pregnant with a girl - then we changed it. I can't wait to find out the gender and name!! PS I miss sleeping on my stomach so much that I dream about it, then I wake up freaked out that I actually did...it's way too big now to even do it on accident, but I totally miss it. I hope you get some sleep!!

  9. You are glowing!!! Can't believe we are already this far along!!!!!

  10. That's tough having to come up with two names just in case! Do you have a suspicion on the gender or not even a guess?

  11. You look amazing! This almost makes me want to be pregnant again! And the name thing is SO hard the second time around. So much harder than the first time. I'm sure I will love whatever you pick out though. And I can't wait to see the nursery! Are you waiting to do it until after you have the baby or will it be gender neutral?

  12. I'm low on iron too. And will be starting the lovely supplements and stool softener regimen. Yuck. The things we do for these babies:)

You look great, Julie! Happy 26 weeks! Almost to 3rd trimester, sweet girl. It really is flying:)

  13. It took us pretty much my whole second pregnancy to pick out our daughter's name! The struggle is real ;)

  14. You look great! I love that you are waiting. My parents said they did with my sister and I but with my third sister cause she was high risk they found out.

I hope when I finally have one I have the strength to hold out till delivery !

  15. We waited to find out for all four of our kids and it is such a fun surprise, but I agree that picking names is no fun. We always wanted at least two names per gender so I could meet the baby and see which it looked like. Let's just say it's lucky our second child was a girl or she would have had to pick her own name. We could not decide on a boy's name. You look beautiful!

  16. Woohoo! June isn't that far away. :) You look great, mama. Hope you continue to stay healthy and happy as you prepare for that sweet baby!

  17. Hooray for June babes!! I'm 24 weeks tomorrow!! I'm so glad to know that we aren't the only ones who are procrastinating with the nursery. We have done NOTHING! I feel guilty, but with my husband's travel schedule it has been tough to squeeze it in! We also just started talking about baby registry stuff! Everyone looks at me like I'm nuts when I tell them that we haven't done anything ASAP and it's our first!!

You look absolutely adorable in this look!! Thanks for sharing your journey!!
