My Farmhouse Table...and a Target Giveaway!

January 15, 2015

If you've been around here for a while you've heard me talk first about how I wanted a farmhouse table and then about how I finally got one for Christmas and how much I love it. Well, the day's finally here....I present to you my farmhouse table....

 photo IMG_9436.jpg
It turned out so so so perfect. My mom had a friend make it for me as a Christmas gift and she dutifully stained it in my garage even though it was super cold outside. She's the best.

I love how it has added so much character to our dining nook.

Our chairs are these from Restoration Hardware. They are metal and totally toddler proof! My mom has the same ones in white and they are super cute! They are a little cold when you first sit down, but otherwise perfect.

The mason jars are antiques and the berry crate is also antique from my in-laws.

I hope you love it as much as I do!

If you live in West Michigan and are looking for a farmhouse table let me know...I'll hook you up!

And now, excited to introduce you to a girl after my own heart....Annie from Home of the Malones! She's also giving away a Target gift card below....keep reading for details and learn a little bit about her and her sweet blog...isn't she gorgeous???

NAME/AGE/LOCATION
I'm Annie, a 29 year old gal living in Pensacola, FL (my hometown).

FAMILY
I got married in April 2012 to my husband Matt.  Six months later we found out we were pregnant.  In June 2013, we had our son Brody.  We also have one fur baby,  Bella. She's a four year old, 7 pound, white Maltipoo, who is extremely jealous of her little brother.

WORK
I stay at home with our son, Brody (15 months).  I worked for Chase bank just out of college then in the family business for 4 years prior to having Brody.  I had plans to return back to the family business; but as of right now, I'm taking a bit longer sabbatical than I had planned.  I feel so lucky to spend every day with this little guy.

HOBBIES
I love to travel, workout, shop, cook, entertain and blog.  I really enjoy my role as stay at home Mom and take advantage of my time at home to decorate, cook new recipes and plan parties!  We love to entertain and never pass up the opportunity to take a great trip.

WHY I BLOG

I started Home of Malone's a few months after we got married as a way to document our journey of building our first home and my pregnancy with Brody.  I read so many blogs when we were planning our home and definitely during my pregnancy {insert Schue Love} and I loved the concept.  I learned so much and thought it would be fun to start one of my own to share our ideas and document our married life.

WHAT I BLOG ABOUT
I blog about family, food, fashion, travel and life in general.  I love to decorate for the holidays and share my passion for trying new recipes.  I have an addiction to online shopping and am thrilled when I can share my favorite new fashion find.  I have no shame in over posting photos of my son either!

I hope you will stop over to the blog and say hello!  I look forward to meeting some new faces and great blogs.  Thanks for having me, Julie :)
