The Breastfeeding Diaries: Some of my Favorites

July 30, 2014

I'm taking a little break this week from The Breastfeeding Diaries and thought I could take this time to highlight a few of my very favorite stories, in case you missed them!

If you would like to contribute your story to the series I would LOVE to have you. Please send and email to thegirlintheredshoes @ gmail I'm looking for all types of stories, so even if your breastfeeding journey didn't work out, or it didn't go how you had planned, I would still love to hear from you.

"We don’t need to judge or give advice, all we need to do is help and encourage, in whatever we decide is best for our babies. Because what you decide to do, as a mother, is best for your family, and I am here to support you in your decision. We are not alone, we are all in this together." You can find the rest of Allison's story here

"...you are already an amazing mom that just needs to follow your heart and your instincts.  Whatever you decide will be fine." You can find the rest of Sara's story here.

"You are about to embark on what I feel is one of the most wonderful and amazing journeys in a woman's life.  Embrace every minute that you can, it truly is one of the most special gifts." You can find the rest of Laura's story here

"...you see…breastfeeding was TEXTBOOK for me. would you like to know why it was textbook?

answer // everything went exactly as was NOT expected." You can find the rest of Karli's story here

"My advice to any new mom is to not let your breastfeeding experience define you as a mother. Breastfeeding is paradoxically both a sacrifice and a privilege, but your success with it is not indicative of your love for your child or your status as a mom." You can find the rest of Erica's story here

"Be kind to yourself. You are feeding your baby the best way you know how. We started supplementing at 8 weeks and I don’t feel bad about it. What were we going to do? Let him go without eating? Science is amazing and formula feeds your baby too." You can find the rest of Coco's story here

"Being a new Mom to triplets has been the most rewarding and life-changing experience of my life. I’m proud of myself for continuing to pump so often to keep up my supply. I can’t wait to see what the ending to our breastfeeding journey will be." You can find the rest of Julie's story here

"Don't give up. Be patient. Listen to your body. Listen to your baby. And do what's best for you both. Don't be afraid to ask for help. And always trust your mama intuition." You can find Jess' story here

Love all of these mamas.
