5 on Friday

March 14, 2014

Aren't Fridays the best? I'm so glad it's finally almost the weekend! As usual I'm linking up with the lovely ladies of The Good Life, A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, and Hello Happiness for 5 on Friday...and you should too!

{one} Our snow is sort of starting to melt...yay! We have more snow than I've ever seen before...which means April is going to be a muddy mess. So I NEED some rain boots, don't you think? How many times do you think I need to post about my love for Hunters before someone breaks down and buys them for me? Is anyone reading? Hint hint husband....hint hint mom....hint hint Hudson? Plus the purple is on SALE!

{two} See that snow bank melting? See the grass? Hudson is OBSESSED with climbing on the snow and jumping in mud puddles. Spring is going to be SO fun. And SO messy! And I don't think I'll ever get used to not seeing green grass year round. It was such a fun surprise to see it again this week!

{three} My husband and I have been talking about houses and layouts all week....which has me drooling over this one. I mean, it's gorgeous. When can I move in?

{four} I don't even watch The Bachelor, but the recaps done by Sheaffer are so amazing that I feel like I've seen every episode. Holy train wreck. And I think I might have to watch the next season of the Bachelorette.

{five} My husband had to macgyver our mailbox thanks to the city snow plow getting a little out of control and knocking it down. Bungee cord mail box for the win.

Happy Friday!

  9. Casting the horrid man that is Juan Pablo was the best thing the bachelor could have done. Everyone is talking about it now! I don't watch the show, but now I guarantee I'll watch next season...

  16. My daughter is loving the red Hunter boots. I keep hoping they will go on sale. We've been having the same sort of weather as you. Won't it be nice when spring comes to stay?

  17. So, we don't have any snow and we typically don't get a ton of rain here either. But that doesn't stop me from wanting a pair of those Hunters BAD! I think the purple would be precious on you - but the red and green are both adorable as well! Hoping hubby takes the hint:)

I've been keeping up with Sheaffer's recaps too - didn't watch the show this season, but her synopses are always hilarious. From what I've read, I'm kind of glad I didn't waste time watching Juan Pablo's season. Gosh was he a jerk, or what!?! Looking forward to Andi coming back as the bachelorette!

    Happy weekend, Julie!:)

  18. I just can't even imagine all that snow. At the beginning of winter I was all "Oh, snow! So jealous! Scarves and boots and snowmen!" Now I'm just sad for all of you still stuck with snow. I wish I could send you some of our Florida sunshine. A new pair of boots is well earned after putting up with all the cold!

  19. I picked up some Hunter about a month ago and I love them! I am actually using them as snow boots too :)
I don't watch The Bachelor either but Sheaffer's recaps are hilarious!
When we had a bad snow storm a few weeks ago most of the mail boxes all over town were knocked down! The trucks didn't hit them, the snow was just THAT heavy! Crazy!
