{one} My baby is one! Are you tired of me talking about Hudson turning one? I sure hope not. It's kind of a big deal around these parts. This boy has been spoiled big time with a party, presents every day this week, cupcakes, a trip to the children's museum with mommy AND daddy, going out to eat, and getting extra attention at daycare. He's in for a rude awaking next week when everything goes back to normal!

{two} Here's a tip for all of you moms out there. If you decide to install a back-up convertible car set in your husband's car, be sure to install it right after you install the one in your car. Don't wait two months like we did. Because I promise you that you will forget how to do it. And those instructions are worthless and might as well be written in Chinese. And you will have to YouTube how to install it...again. So take my advice, and install them both at the same time. Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes, I had to basically sit in the seat to get it tight enough. Fun night at our house! (We have the Britax Marathon in my car and the Britax Roundabout in my husband's car. The Marathon is totally better.)

{three} In October I'm taking my husband to Disneyland!!!! I grew up with a season pass and we went all the time...but my husband has NEVER been! To say that I am excited is an understatement. I can't wait to introduce him to Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted House, the Tiki Room....I could go on and on! I haven't been since college, so I'm sure there's tons of new stuff! Any tips of where we should eat that day? I mean, besides the place inside of Pirates?

{four} It's the most wonderful time of the year! I LOVE fall! As soon as September hit we started enjoying crisp mornings and cool nights. And it just smells like fall! I can't wait to make some cute diy pumpkins like these.

{five} Is anyone watching Siberia on NBC? It is the dumbest show I have ever seen....yet my husband and I can't stop watching it. It's so bad it's good. It's a scripted drama about a fake reality show. And oh my word, it's ridiculous. Each week we are shocked it hasn't been cancelled. But then we are secretly glad it hasn't.

Have a great weekend!

  2. Blue Bayou is the place inside Pirates. I ate there at least once a year and went to Disneyland multiple times each year. So jealous!

  3. We're going down to Disneyland on Sunday! We're SO excited :) We haven't been in 3 years and it will be Owen's first time. Will you bring Hudson?

We like eating at ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney and we can't wait to try the new tiki restaurant at our hotel. I think it's called Trader Sams.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. We have some friends who are also going to Disney at the end of September! I'm trying to convince myself that it just wouldn't be as fun with a 4 month old!;) It's not working, HA!

  6. Are you a SAHM? Short work weeks are the best ever! Don't get me started on carseat drama, not sure why they make them so incredibly difficult to install...honestly you need a degree in engineering! We got the Chicco NextFit and can't say enough good things about it, hands down the easiest carseat you will ever install :)

Hope H-man had a great bday!

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  8. I'm still talking about Avery turning one and it's almost a month later!

She had an accident in her carseat (of course after we dropped hubs off at the airport) and I had to take it out to wash it. I was almost in tears trying to get it back in. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it and wouldn't be able to leave the house since hubs wasn't there to help. But I love the carseat!

  9. I'm looking forward to reading your post all about Hudson's first birthday party and seeing photos. I can only imagine how cute it was!

I had to laugh when I saw the photos of you two installing the car seat, that's exactly what it looked like when we installed ours too! Car seat companies seem to be making advances in the seats all the time but they just can't seem to make them any easier to install! :)

  14. #2 made me laugh. Luckily we installed out 2 seats at the same time or I think we would have been in the same positions. Hudson and my son have the same B-day. Cool dudes!

  18. Happy Birthday week Hudson! We just took our Hudson to Disneyland and he loved it! You guys will have a great time! I feel you on the carseat. I watched like 15 you-tube videos!

  19. First, I love reading your blog, so thank you :)

Second, my husband and I have Disneyland passes and visit frequently (its the perfect date night)! The best place to eat for your money is the All You Can Eat BBQ place back behind Big Thunder Mt. (by the ranch with live animals- they serve lunch and dinner) It is a great deal for your money PLUS they let you take your food to go (TRICK: order extra food about 10 minutes before you plan to call it quits, take a few bites then ask them for to go containers!) Also in CA Adventure we love the Lobster Nachos in available in Paradise Piers at Ariels Grotto Bar. I've also heard Goofy'sKitchen is great for breakfast with kiddos because a lot of the characters visit (we don't have kids yet so we haven't done that yet).

Third, Big Thunder Mt has been closed, so hopefully it is back up and running by the time you go. The World of Color at CA Adventure is a beautiful show! Racers in CA Adventure is super fun, either leave Hudson with someone if you can or go in the single rider line while your husband waits with Hudson and then switch!

Fourth, download the free app for Disneyland wait times so you can check how long lines are and not waste time walking there and finding the line is ridiculous! Apps: I use Mousewait and DL Waits

PS you will be there during the Halloween celebration so make sure to visit Haunted Mansion and Space Mt.

Email me if you have any more questions :)

  20. Disneyland is my favorite place! Your husband is one lucky guy! (I actually did a Disneyland post hehe. Feel free to check it out!) My favorite place besides Blue Bayou is Rancho del Zocalo's in Frontierland; it's yummy Mexican food with big servings and good prices.

    Have a wonderful vacation!

  24. Hi! Love Hudson's 1 year old pics!

Downtown Disney has a Amazing new restaurant called Earl of Sandwich (so yummy) also both DL and CA adventure now have a Starbucks. Would also recommend you try the Italian restaurant in Ca adventure next to the entrance to Cars Land, Wine Country Trattoria (looks expensive, but is actually very affordable and better than most of the other DL restaurants. Cars land has a restaurant called Flo's V8 Cafe which is also really good and quick!

    Have fun!
