5 on Friday

June 14, 2013

I'm linking up today with four of my favorite blogs for 5 on Friday!

{one} Hudson taught himself how to drink out of a straw. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm going with it! I'm on the hunt for good straw sippys that don't leak...any recommendations? I want to get this Camelbak kids water bottle for him but I'm afraid he might be too little to use it.
{two} I've been crushing on this cart from Ikea. I have no idea where I would put it. But I want it. Ikea is a two hour drive from my house so my trips there take careful planning. I'm hoping to get there in the next few weeks.
{three} My bff in real life, Erin, blogged about her daughter's love for Caspar Babypants....and now Hudson and I can't get enough! It's super cute non-annoying kids music that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out. We sang and clapped all afternoon.

{four} This outfit needs to be mine.

{five} It's my birthday next month....and it's a big one. The big 3-0. Yikes. Anyway, I'm having a hard time figuring out what I want for my birthday. My husband thinks all of my ideas aren't fun enough (but they totally are....he's a boy and doesn't understand my love of diamond earrings, a new purse, new couch for the living room, or Michael Kors watch). So tell me...what do I want?

  1. We've been through about 85 sippy cups and the best one we've found, but still have an occasional leak, are the Tommy Tippee ones. It's amazing how fast some of them take to the straw, it took my daughter about 30 seconds to catch on too!

I love his cute jammies too.

  2. I agree Tommie tippee are the way to go with straw cups! They are a little pricey but they last so worth the investment. If he can drink out of your water bottles (I remember a photo) I bet he can drink out of a kids one. Just might be heavy to hold. I'm on the hunt for one for Callie bc she drinks from mine all the time! Also if he took to a straw so quick I'd introduce him to those food pouches now. I know a lot of babies that won't use them and trust me they are a LIFESAVER! Callie has eaten table foods since 9mo but we still use pouches everyday when we are out! :)

  3. LOVE that cart! I'm trying to plan a trip to IKEA to pick up a dresser for the baby's nursery and if I see that cart, it might be bad news! It would be perfect in my classroom!

  5. I might have to check out that kids show! Mine's only six months now but I swear anytime I turn the tv on for a tiny bit of baby appropriate entertainment I want to pull my hair out, too! And don't you love Ikea? Our closest one is five hours and it kills me that I can't just go even for the day! This is my first time to your blog and I love that you have the breastfeeding diaries. It's so helpful for us bf mamas to learn from each other and be inspired- it's a big commitment!

  7. Haha I love that he doesn't think your selections are "fun" because that list all sounds like fun to me. My hubby got me a "fancy" camera for my birthday and I LOVE it. If you don't already have one it's a lot of fun! :)
