Who Did You Love?

Did you watch the Oscars last night? I made it to Best Supporting Actor and then went to bed. As usual, my favorite part was the fashion. Who were your favorites?

I thought Michelle Williams look beautiful.

Octavia Spencer looked amazing in this dress. I'm so glad she won for The Help!

Jessica Chastain also looked gorgeous in this gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow always seems to get it right. I loved this dress with and without the cape!

And of course Emma Stone looked so pretty in red! Love her.

Erin's Pink, Orange, and Red Baby Shower

I love baby showers. I also love bridal showers. Basically I love any type of party where I get to eat yummy food and decorate! And lucky me, I got to help plan Erin's baby shower last week in California. And it was gorgeous! Erin's sister Nicole, friend Sara, and I put our heads together and came up with an amazing shower for Erin and Baby Alexandria....Lexi for short.

Photobucket
Erin has had a bit of a sweet tooth throughout her pregnancy. Scratch that. She's always had a sweet tooth! So she requested lots of desserts and a candy bar. What the pregnant lady wants, the pregnant lady gets! We were all in love with how the candy bar turned out.

Me with the mommy to be!

Erin made the pretty table runner herself and I made the tissue paper pom poms and paper banners.

Erin and I got up at 6:00 a.m. to start working on the candy tags and place cards....they turned out SO cute! And by the way, those sour peach hearts were addicting! Once we opened the bag we couldn't get enough!

Photobucket
Drink station. We served pink lemonade, water, and champagne.

Photobucket
Obsessed with the cute paper straws! I picked the mini pinwheels up from Hobby Lobby.

Photobucket
Paper banner with Alexandria's name on it for the fire place and more tissue paper pom poms. Special thanks to my mom for helping cut out all of those triangles!

Photobucket
The cupcakes were picked out by Sara and designed by Cupcakes Couture in Manhattan Beach. They were amazing!

Photobucket
I meant to have another cupcake  for breakfast the next day but totally forgot. Sad, sad day.

Photobucket
Lexi letters made out of tissue paper for our favor table.

Photobucket
Sara made these adorable dinosaur cookies as well as a cookie mix inside the mason jars as favors. So cute!

Photobucket
I got to be the gift girl. Baby Lexi got a bib from where Erin and I went to school, the University of Redlands....had to strike a pose!

Photobucket
These rice krispie treats were so yummy. I wanted to eat them all! The dessert table looked adorable too and had a huge tissue paper pom pom hanging above it....guess we forgot to take a picture of it. You can see it in the mirror in the first photo.

Photobucket
We served chocolate covered strawberries, pink chocolate covered marshmallows, lots of fruit, cheese and crackers, and mini brownies, all made by Nicole and Erin's mom. Sugar overload!

Photobucket
Onesie station organized by Sara. Confession: I didn't make one. Oops! I was on craft overload. But they turned out super cute.

Me, Erin, Nicole, and Sara. Thanks for a wonderful time ladies! And thank you to Erin and Sara for these beautiful photos!

Um, how adorable is this girl? I sort of want to be her. Love every
thing about her outfit. Why can't I look that cute on a rainy day?

Love the stripes in this hallway....we are going to paint our upstairs hallway soon...maybe I can talk the husband in to doing this!

I love these glass berry crates from Anthropologie....does anyone have them? I have no idea what I'd do with them, but that doesn't keep me from wanting a few of my own!

LOVE this idea....need to make something like this asap.

Use lace to frame a photo...such a cute and easy gift idea.

I also love this monogrammed bin. It would be adorable as a baby or wedding shower gift!

At Erin's shower we had some chocolate covered rice krispie treats....and now I can't get them out of my head! Maybe I'll whip up a batch this weekend.
