Bed Thief

Pancake has taken a liking to Wrigley's bed. Wrigley likes to chew on it so we mostly keep it out of his reach unless he is really sleepy. However, Pancake has now claimed it as his own...so who knows if and when Wrigley will get it back!

The BFF is Engaged!

Congrats to my best friend Erin and her soon-to-be-husband Mike! They got engaged over the weekend and I couldn't be happier for them! Bring on the wedding planning!

Size Comparison

My mom asked for a size comparison to see how big Wrigley is getting. Here he is at 11 weeks old....finally bigger than Pancake! His weight two weeks ago was 14 pounds (and if you recall, Pancake weighs a hefty 16 pounds) but I am pretty sure Wrigley has passed him up by now!

Best Buddies

Meet Rye. Rye is a two year old lab who, lucky for us, lives across the street. From the moment they met Wrigley and Rye were best buddies. They get so excited to see each other. Whenever we take Wrigley outside he always looks to see if Rye is in his yard and gets so sad when he isn't!

Wrigley loves any attention he can get from Rye. And he is now obsessed with that yellow ball...because Rye played with it!

Rye's owner, our neighbor Sarah, gave us a bunch of Rye's old puppy supplies...including that purple harness Wrigley is wearing! Did you think the husband would let me buy something purple for a boy? No way! (Sarah's daughter is the one responsible for originally picking out Rye's accessories...which explains the purple).

They usually chase each other and then wrestle for awhile. It is hard to tell from these pictures, but Wrigley is several shades darker than Rye.

We love it when Rye comes over to play...he totally wears Wrigley out, which makes it easier for us at bedtime!

Bath Time

Are you sick of seeing pictures of our puppy yet? I hope not, because I have a lot more to show you...he just keeps getting bigger every day and I don't want to forget how little he was when he is (finally) all grown up!

Anyway, I give Wrigley a bath at least once a week, sometimes more...he can be a dirty pup! I am happy that for now he fits in the kitchen sink....but that won't last much longer!

He doesn't seem to mind taking a bath and loves to drink the bath water.

His favorite part is getting wrapped up in a towel. (Can you see Henry still hanging around in the background?) The husband says we live in a zoo....I think he is right.

Wiggly

Wrigley has been spending a lot of time running around outside lately. It is really hard to get him to sit still for a picture! Our neighbor's granddaughter can't say "Wrigley" so she calls him "Wiggly", which is the cutest thing ever. It suites him well!

Chew Boy

Wrigley loves to chew on stuff....all the time.

Whenever we go outside he manages to find something to nibble on.

You name it, he chews it!

The best is when he finds a stick in the yard like this one. He is so cute when he runs around with it in his mouth!

Henry

Henry has been eating all of our plants lately and he destroyed the flowers the husband got me for my birthday. So, to satisfy his need for some green I bought him some cat grass to munch on. He loves it!

Lets hope this doesn't make him think all the plants are for him to eat!

Getting Big

Our little man is growing up so fast! He has doubled in size and weighs 14 pounds. We have been working with him on sitting and walking on a leash and he will start puppy classes in a few weeks.

Wedding Reception and Honeymoon

Cutting the cake!

I remember being worried that the husband was going to smash the cake in my face....he didn't, smart guy. This was the only piece of cake we actually had time to eat. Luckily my mom saved some for us that we snacked on just before leaving on our honeymoon the next day. It was so good!

The bridal party dance. Hilarious. We danced to "At Long Last Love" by Frank Sinatra, which is one of my favorite songs.

I don't remember this happening...but I am not at all surprised.

Golfing

Last week the husband really wanted to go golfing. Well, I am NOT a fan of golf. I can't even hit the ball. However, sweet wife that I am, I offered to go to the driving range with him. I don't think he believed I would actually go!

Here it is. There was no way I was going to be able to hit the ball that far.

Setting up. I think I actually hit maybe 6 or 7. The ball to the right was definitely one that I hit. The husband thought I was exaggerating when I told him how bad I was. Well...now he knows! I don't think he will be taking me back to the driving range!

He is such a show off...he hit every single one! We actually had fun even though I was a hot mess out there....maybe we will have to try it again to improve my skills!

Still Adjusting

We are still adjusting to having Wrigley in our lives. Henry actually seems to want to play with Wrigley...only it has to be on his terms. As soon as Wrigley gets a little too rough, he gets a slap from Henry! Pancake prefers to watch the action instead of participate...and so far Wrigley pretty much leaves him alone.
