On my way to work yesterday morning I heard a huge bang at the back of my car. I thought something or someone had hit me and I freaked out. When I glanced in the review mirror however....my rear windshield was gone! It exploded....literally. This could only happen to me! I quickly turned around to head back home to first call the husband and complain....then call the insurance company. Luckily our insurance guy set me up with a repair shop that would replace the windshield for less than the insurance deductible. So now we have a new rear windshield....that hopefully won't explode on me again.

Oh and did I mention that it was 5 degrees outside? It sure was a
fun drive home.
Some of the broken glass in the back of the car. The repair guy said the windshield was weakened by corrosion on the windshield wiper thing....and it being all of 5 degrees just pushed the windshield to the limit.

Looks scary. I'm thinking about you in the cold weather.....it's been 80-85 in Southern California this week!!
We discussed this with you & I'm glad it all worked out. Your a "woman of substance" as Erin & I would say.
